The Project has multiple strands of creative work being undertaken by commissioned artists, Tiree children and young people, academic experts, members of Tiree’s worldwide “diaspora”, and the Tiree community.

 Tìr Ìseal Talks

Online and in-person talks, seminars and presentations about Tiree’s history, folklore, archive and landscape, given as part of the project’s work and preparation.

 Tìr Ìseal Music

Musicians Ian Smith, Angus Macphail, and Seonaidh MacIntyre have each been commissioned to create music inspired by the Tìr Ìseal project stories.

 Tìr Ìseal Tapestry

Members of Tiree’s worldwide “diaspora” are creating sewn and decorated fabric squares celebrating the Tìr Ìseal project stories and Tiree landscape. These creations are winging their way to Tiree where they’ll be sewn into a tapestry or patchwork that will live on Tiree for all to visit.
